What I have to offer is a supercharged Mac SE, which includes: 1. 20MB internal hard disc; 2. Internal 800k drive; 3. External 800k drive; 4. Standard keyboard; 5. 4MB of 85ns RAM; 6. MacPeak's Orion SE 020/25 accelerator board: A. 25MHz 68020 CPU, B. 25MHz 68882 FPU (not a typing error, it is a 68882); 7. Software includes Mathematica, MacIntosh Programmers Workshop (SADE, Assembler, Pascal, C, and Fortran), and TeXtures eXtures (a full implementation of TeX for Mac). This acclerator board does have several nice features: 1. Apple-compatiable design lets you "snap in" on-board SIMM as you need it, expanding up to 16MB (32MB in the near future); 2. Further expansion of Mac SE bus is provided on the Orion; 3. Optional 68851 PMMU Co-processor expansion for virtual memory; 4. Orion SE 020/25 CDEV includes the following options: A. Improved sound quality, B. Standard SE speed, C. Load the Mac SE ROM into RAM, D. Use any available memory over 4MB, E. Adjustable waite-state for FPU and CPU, i.e. 16MHz or 25MHz. The SE is only 4 1/2 months old, the accelerator board 3 months old. My roommate and I purchased this machine togetter. Unfortunately we purchased it when the price of 85ns RAMs were $499.00 and the accelerator board was $1500.00. My roommate is leaving U.S.A., going to Max Planck institute. We are asking for $3250.00 which includes the Mac SE, the Orion SE 020/25 (25 MHz CPU & FPU), 4MB of 85ns memory, 20MB internal HD, 800K internal and external drives, standard keyboard, Mathematica, M.P.W., and TeXtures. Let's haggle over the price. Robert M. Internet: milt@mist.cs.orst.edu
