Please DON'T post FOR SALE items to other than .wanted groups. That's what they're for. I read my news off-line, i. e. via hardcopy output from an "at" job executed once a day (this job does other tasks, also, which makes it efficient for me). Because it's NOT interactive I see ALL articles posted and do not screen based on subject. Normally I could care less but it is getting more irritating as the number of FOR SALE items in net.music increases. Maybe you should create a net.music.wanted or net.wanted.music group if you don't feel you're reaching the intended audience!! -- -------------------------------------------------------- Mike Eastman ihnp4!ihuxu!mfe (312) 979-2847 AT&T Bell Laboratories Rm. 2C-319 Naperville, IL 60566

Hey! Give RWN a break! I don't think RWN can form his own new newsgroup. Obviously the BEST place for his item would have been in .wanted groups, but many people interested in music may not read those groups. The article concerned seems of no less interest than the usual repetitive, boring, and useless garbage currently clogging this group. The posting of an article to net.music concerning an instrument for sale seems no more out of place than the many for sale items posted to net.micro and other specialized groups.(If it was a mattress or television you might have a legit gripe) While Im wasting peoples time, Hopefully everyone prints their news articles on their own printer. I think the employees in the comp center at I.H. have better things to do than print our news articles. Jon Carbaugh I.H. 6c217 x6676 iham1!jon1
