[misc.wanted] Justification for Configuration Management

faigin@sdcrdcf.UUCP (Daniel P Faigin) (10/27/86)

[Please note: I am posting this for a friend of mine. Please
direct all responses to me. I will forward them to him.]

WANTED: Information leading to the culmination of research on the
use of a handbook for Configuration Management. Sources are
needed to justify using the handbook approach. [Note: He has also
pointed out that sources are also needed on other approaches].
Have tried most management sources without much luck. The
handbook is a success, and the project completed. Now, I'm trying
to figure out why I did it. Any assist on "hanging" this thesis
will be appreciated.

[Note: George needs any sort of pointers to references re:
Configuration Management approaches that you can think of. What
worked. What didn't. Why his handbook approach worked. What else
has been tried. You get the idea. Thanks (in advance) for all
your help].
