[misc.wanted] Cweb - troff/C version of Knuth's web ?

rad@tekcbi.tek.com (12/07/86)

Following up on Jon Bentley's Programming Pearls in CACM, I just
read Knuth's original article on Literate Programming (Computer
Journal, vol. 27, no. 2, pp 97-111 (1984) ).

In that article he says that a H. Thimbleby wrote a version of web
(actually weave and tangle) that used troff and C, instead of TeX and
pascal. I'd appreciate any pointers to that or similar work. Web
sounds really interesting, but I can't use pascal.

Thanks in advance,

Richard Doty.

See the most recent issue of TUGBoat, which has information on how to
get it along with a programming example. It weaves to TeX, though, not
troff.
