My wife is working with a Compugraphic composition system labeled MCS-5 (Modular Composition System). Does anyone out there know what type of floppy disks will work with this system? The manuals all say to get Part Number xxx from Compugraphic, but apparantly they want an arm-and-a-leg for them. I figure they must be some standard 5.25" floppy though. The manual says each holds about 160K if that is any indication. I would appreciate any help. -- And in this corner, hailing from `Parts Unknown', Tim "The Animal" Northrup Disclaimer: These opinions (if any) are MINE. That's right, MINE! Mine, Mine, Mine ... They are ordinary floppies. Don't worry about what part number they want you to buy. My brother owns an MCS system, and I've fixed it for him. It uses the same crummy floppy drives that PCs do (except they are single sided). Any reasonable floppies being sold for PCs will work just fine. You can also buy a drive from the back of a computer mag. for about $60 and hook it up, instead of paying Compugraphic $400 or $500 (assuming you have space remaining on your controller).
