I have a Tecmar Graphic Master and i am having some problems with it and i was wondering is anyone could help me with it. First of all, the card will not show any green or shades of green (i've checked the monitor and it works fine, so it's the card that's screwed up). I'd like to know if anyone has the technical specs for this card, or if anyone has any idea what could be wrong. I called tecmar but since it's out of warrenty, they want $80 just to look at it plus parts. Thanks in advance for any help. Jeff Cooper NU115247 at NDSUVM1.BITNET

I had a Tecmar Graphics Master in an IBM XT. I never used it for anything other than CGA compatibility. The memory eventually failed. I only live about 15 minutes away from the Tecmar factory. It tuned out that they weren't terribly interested in seeing their card, quoting the $80 to fix it. My solution was to get a asian made CGA work-alike from JDR Microdevices in California. It only cost $49. The JDR card turned out to do a better emulation of CGA graphics than the Tecmar card anyway. (The Graphics Master would occasionally weird-out when used with IBM BASICA grphics; the clone does not.) Sorry to not have a better suggestion, but I really think replacing the card is the most effective solution. --Bill
