[net.music] The artist of a silly song, anyone?

*** YOUR MESSAGE ***

I know that I'm inviting a flood of responses, but I'll open the gates anyway.
While driving Calif. -> NY over the summer, I heard a song as I was leaving
Salt Lake City, but they didn't anounce the title or who sang it. The chorus
was:

		"Everybody run,
The homecoming queen's got a gun..."

and it concerned a homecoming queen who was gunning down teachers and students
at a homecoming parade. It was a pretty silly song, and I'd love to know
who recorded it and where I could pick it up and if she's recorded anything
else. Does this ring a bell with anyone?

The name of the song is, of course, "The Homecoming Queen's Got A Gun". It's
by Julie Brown. You might remember her from "I Like 'Em Big & Stupid", a song
whose lyrics were posted here during the period of stupid lyric mania. In
fact, those two songs are the B and A side's respectively of her indie 12".
