When bibliographic databases get larger than a few thousand documents, we find processes that use the inverted index created by "inv" (i.e. refer and hunt) often fail to retrieve documents with valid keywords when the default hash table size is used (997). Increasing the size improves the results. I would appreciate advice on how large the hash table should be for a given size database.
