Cordwainer Smith's real name was F. Paul Linebarger.  He was the
godchild of ... oh, hell ... that Chinese fellow who through out the
Manchu before the Maoists... Sun Yat Suen!! That's it!! -- so his
Chinese name was Lin Ba Lo.

No, no...Cordwainer Smith was really Dr. Paul Myron Anthony Linebarger.
Later, before he died, his wife helped write some of the "Cordwainer
Smith" stories.  Her name is Genevieve.
