Webster is available from uxc.cso.uiuc.edu (128.174.5.50; 130.126.174.50; 128.174.10.50) in ~ftp/pub/webster.tar and ~ftp/pub/xwebster.tar.Z. The only server explicitly mentioned is ee.ecn.purdue.edu, port 2627. If anyone knows of the other servers, I'd be happy to accumulate a list and post it if there is interest. ============================================================================= -- It takes all kinds to make a world -- Christopher Martin \ INTERNET: chris@uxf.cso.uiuc.edu University of Illinois /\ UUCP: uunet!uiucuxc!uxf!chris at Urbana-Champaign / \ BITNET: chris@uiucuxf =============================================================================

I have written a Webster server for NeXT workstations - if you have a NeXT and would like to give people on other machines access to the NeXT dictionary (and thesaurus!), let me know and I can send the code to you. You can also ftp ~ftp/pub/NeXT-websterd.shar from iuvax.cs.indiana.edu (129.79.254.192). If you do ftp it, send me a note so I can keep track of who is using it. ..Steve -- Steve Hayman Workstation Manager Computer Science Department Indiana U. sahayman@iuvax.cs.indiana.edu (812) 855-6984
