I just bought an 80287-10 chip and installed it in my CompuAdd Standard 286/10 (the old one c. July 1988). The fastest speed that I could run the 287 by setting the jumpers is 6.6Mhz (checked with the SHOW program). I have heard that the 287 runs on a separate clock from the CPU. Is there a way that I could run the 287 at the full 10Mhz? If it involves adding a new clock circuit, has anyone done this before? If so, what pin of the 287 is the clock input pin?
