Does anyone know where I could find a communications package that can emulate the IBM 5080 graphics terminal over a serial line? Right now, I can connect to a UNIX machine on campus and then run tn3270 to get a full screen connection with the mainframe. It would be quite nice to be able to run something similar to tn3270, but have it forward all 5080 codes to my terminal program. I do understand that the 5080 is not just a graphics display and that it does do graphics processing. If no such beast exists, where can I find the emulation codes for the 3270 and 5080? Or would IBM be kind enough to supply these to me? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and happy hunting! Actually: Ethan M.
