Links aren't in Amigados until 2.0, and even then, they may only be hard links. Certainly, and tar program will not assume it can use links. I downloaded a HUGE tar file recently and can't seem to decode it - I tried portar from FF~2, TarSplit from FF~150, and tar from ff??, but none seem to work (either GURU or fail "can't handle links").
