I am developing Willow, the Washington Information Looker-upper Layered Over Windows, which is a general purpose GUI for data-base retrieval. It is written under X-Windows/Motif. Anyway, in order to test out my attempts at making the back-end generalizable, I need to find some more databases to talk to. What I need are databases which are accessible via telnet, and can function in a simple teletype mode (I don't want to parse terminal control junk). The interface is geared towards bibliographic databases (i.e. card-catalogs, journal citations), but I would be glad to try it on anything. I would be prefer free access databases, but would consider commercial ones too. Please e-mail me your suggestions, and I will be happy to summarize the responses into a list. Unless of course somebody already has a comprehensive list of internet accessible databasese... Note, followups to comp.databases. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- = Matthew M.
