I've had a couple of people ask where I found the Windham Hill albums for a mere $7 while everyone else in the universe was paying $9 and up. I must have left my brain back at the dorm since I was unable to get the machine to send out individual replies (4 years at this university and I still can't figure out the damn mail system). Anyway, the first rule in shopping for Windham Hill albums is to stay away from the national chains like Camelot and Record Theater. These stores tend to sell everything at statospheric prices. A good place to look would be a 'record exchange' type of store. The one I'm thinking of here in Cleveland carries a huge selection of mostly new albums for $5 to $8, with Windham Hill and other high quality labels going for $7 or $8. Another good place to look would be a store near a college campus. I've found these to have a large selection at more than reasonable prices. Someone had asked about mail order houses but I don't have any pointers there. Maybe someone out there in netland can provide a few addresses.... I hope this helps some of you who sent me mail. In the near future I'll try to find my brain and send out personal replies. dave at cwruecmp!bourne
