Greetings. I'm in the process of "grasping at straws" - as they say. I have 2 computers and 2 printers. I have an Apple //e and a Kaypro 10. I have one TEC F10-55 and an Infoscribe 1000. Fine. I can hook up both printers to my Apple and they work like a dream. When I hook them up to the K10, I get text that has random grabage in many places - quite bad, actually or no text at all. The main problem that I'm having is the fact that I have no docs for my printers. The TEC has an 8-bit and a 12-bit DIP switch while the Infoscribe has an 8-bit DIP switch. I have no idea what they do - less experimentation.... Could the problem be that the Stobe and busy are interchanged or that busy is never called by the printer. I have docs for the computers - no problems there. Anyone? The TEC is a Diablo 630 "clone" and the InfoScribe is a fast 9-pin dot matrix. The infoscribe is on its 13th box of paper so it's not like I just got the printer last week :-) Is there a trick? Some line that's not quite standard? Anything! Take care. -- _______________________________________________________________________________ "The Force will be with you, always."
