OK, let's be realistic. When two (or more??) people "sleep together" the result CAN BE pregnancy, REGARDLESS of the precautiions taken. Every currently known form of birth control (other than abstension...) has a failure factor, which any doctor or package or whatever means you use to obtain it, should tell you. So I propose another scenario. A couple engages in PROTECTED sexual intercourse She (they!) becomes pregnant anyway SHE says 'abortion', HE says "WHAT?! Kill MY BABY?!" And she, in deference to his moral feelings on the subject, has the child. Now what? Do you still say he shouldn't be legally forced to pay child support? "Oh, you say, but she could give the baby up for adoption!" After nine months of pregnancy, this is NOT always a decision that a woman is (emotionally) able to make. I know, I know; it sounds contrived. But I purposly didn't mention any names... --Marsha
