Sorry to keep you guys in suspenders for so long; I can see you out there sitting on the edge of your....hmmmmm....OK, so you're cranked back with a tall cold one and a cute MOTAS on your lap and don't give a damn. That's OK, I like that better anyway.... ;-) I've haven't read news article one for the last 3-4 weeks, and probably won't get back to it until sometime in mid-November. I have ended my job hunt and have elected to take a transfer to Bell Labs in Whippany, NJ. Still on the same project, but I'm dropping all support for my microassemblers, compiler, and other support tools into the laps of two and a half very competent people, and will be writing microcode up in Whippany. My official transfer date is Nov. 15 (a Sunday; is this a bad omen?) My apologies for having left these forums for a while, and for having to continue to stay away so I can get everything tidied up before I leave. Also, my apologies to those to whom I owe mail -- I promise I'm working on it! And finally (damn there's a lot of apologizing in one article!) apologies to MamaLiz for my non-attendance at SoupCon-II, and apologies in advance to that great guy in Boston for the fact that I won't be there, either.
