Okay, the other person ("???") is Patricia Wrede, and the second book by
Brust is _Yendi_.

But what could be wrong in getting people you're friendly with to favorably
recommend your work? Come on, what are you supposed to do? This is the first
publication of this book--we can't have blurbs from some reviewer on a random
newspaper like the Cleveland Plain Dealer (for whatever THAT's worth). This
kind of thing happens *all the time*, and it's the type of recommendation I
trust.

Recommendations from Brust and Wrede aren't going to lead people wrong: people
who like their stuff will like this. (My mother and sister will, I'm sending
them a copy as soon as the store I patronize restocks.)

So, the cover's right: it has recommendations from the right kind of folks, it
has a cover having something to do with the plot (which we have to admit is not
to be taken for granted),... and wasn't it a nice touch that the back cover is
turquoise?

Right. Thanks.
