The breach in the Mannerheim Line widens, and Summa itself is captured.
Finnish troops are now fighting a slow withdrawal toward Viipuri.
There are reports of a large, new Soviet Army massing for a final thrust.
It is further rumored that the Allies have prepared one Canadian, one
French, and one Polish division for deployment to Finland.

The US Senate passes a bill advancing up to $20 million worth of export
credits to Finland. Meanwhile, the House of Representatives cuts
$111 million from the Navy Supply Bill.

Dr. Robert Ley, head of the German Labor Front, calls for a worker's
revolution throughout the capitalist world. His proclamation calls
for the people and nations of the earth to "annihilate the old English
dragon."
