So Nagi and I went to this Indian restaurant after causing some significant damage to a bottle of Bacardi (no we weren't driving). I ordered Chicken Tandoori (or something like that) and the waiter brings it on this sizzling grill that's sending out clouds of smoke, much to the amusement of everyone present. "That chicken will never pass the emissions test" says Nagi. "Hahahahahahaha." The food looks really good. "Hot dog" I said. "You know," says Nagi, "it's kind of amusing to translate these American expressions into Indian." "Huh?" "Take 'Hot Dog' for example. It would be 'Garam Kutta' in Hindi, or 'Bisi Nayi' in Kannada." "Hahahahahahaha." "Or 'Rain Check.' That would be 'Barsaat ki Chitti' " That Nagi sure cuts me up.
