Sunday's New York Times carried an article about a Mr Ramaswamy Mani, an Indian official at the UN who has been recently demoted. It seems he claimed more funds than he was entitled to for his kids' education. There is some controversy over this because he has simply been demoted, not fired like in other such cases. Seems he is very close to the No 2 man at the UN and that is why he was not fired.
