Hi... I was wondering if anyone had any pd fonts for devanagari that they could send or post;..... Further, Iwas wondering how people were solving this problem: Assume that there are 4 T sounds in sanskrit, which we can map to t, T, O-t, and O-T on the keyboard. Now, we want to store the half-character also (for consonantal conjunctions), where do we map those 4 new half-t's on the keyboard??????? Jordan

In response to: frobozz@well.uucp Here are some sources of Postscript Devanagari Fonts for Macs. They are not PD, but may be of interest: Neoscribe International, Inc. POB 633 East Haven, CT 06512 203-467-9880 Ecological Linguistics Handles fonts AND keying POB 15156 Washington, DC 20003 Linguist's Software Ditto POB 580 Edmonds, WA 98020-0580 206-775-1130 No hands on experience - I'm a PC user, actually - but prices are O($100) or cheaper and material looks good in fliers I've seen. I suggest you call or send a post card asking for information.
