In Panjab, another independent candidate has been killed. With this elections for 6 assembly constituencies and one parliament constituency have been countermanded. Besides Panjab, one candidate in Bihar, one in Gujrat and two in U.P were killed and elections were countermanded for those constituencies. Today the govt has dropped the move for the ordinance to void countermanding of elections in the event of the death of an independent candidate. In Kashmir valley, security forces arrested several militants including a hardcore terrorist who escaped from the Srinager jail earlier. Militants shot dead a woman near Lal bazar area of Srinager. Punjab tangle will be resolved completely if Cogr(I) voted to power, said Mr.Rajiv Gandhi in his public meeting in Chandigarh on Tuesday.
