Bombay  Stock market
====================

      Bombay June 17 the stock market has reacted
favourably to the initial results of the Lok Sabha elections.
The election results, sofar declared, shows that no party
would get majority and there would be a hung parliament. The
general feeling among the brokers is that the Congress would
be asked to form the government. Brokers are interested in
knowing the leader of the Congress party. Brokers are
satisfied with the policy decisions taken by the Congress
during their regime and hence if Congress forMs the government
the market would turn bullish.
      Market resumed bullish and prices rallied further on
sustAined buying. However, a part of the initial gains were
wiped out later on bear selling pressure. The final list
showed small gains.
      Speculative activity was centred on select scrips like
acc, tisco, reliance, Bombay dyeing, spic, ge ship and bajaj
auto. Price swings in these scrips were also fairly wide.
