Are there any BOSS fans out there on the net? Last night (10/17) Bruce Springsteen came to Seattle (actually the Tacoma Dome) and gave a GREAT show. This was my first Springsteen concert and I was frankly blown away by the length of the concert and the level of energy Springsteen generated. The Boss played two 1-1/2 hour sets, with a 1/2 intermission, then came back to play 3 encores. The last encore lasted almost 1/2 hour, with the house lights on, and everyone there jamming to some old rock-n-roll standards, ending up with TWIST and SHOUT. There was a new version of the wave - instead of the crowd yelling YEAH (or whatever), it was BRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCE!!!!. He played all the cuts from the BORN IN THE U.S.A. album, and variety of older tunes - including a great intro to PINK CADILLAC ----- "On the second day, God was hungry, so he invented the cheeseburger" "On the fourth day, God was bored, so he invented rock-n-roll" "On the sixth day, God took his baby out for a ride in the PINK CADILLAC". I'm not a hard-core rock-n-roller, but this was the best concert I've ever been to. It's nice to see that there are musicians who can keep their integrity intact while their popularity soars, and can put on a great show without resorting to fireworks, etc. Bruce just goes out there and plays his heart out. Are there any other BOSS experiences out there? Where did his nickname come from? Brenda Aldridge Boeing Aerospace (Seattle) !ssc-vax!brenda
