If I understand the rules correctly, they have to keep on hand (or make available) parts and manuals for repair for at least 10 years after discontinuance of prodution for the IBM in question. That'S the way it works for TV sets, so I doubt that IBM is exempt. ...on a side, but related note, IBM also refuses to ship the Service & Repair manuals for the PC/XT series, and this applies to authorized servicemen as well. Oh well, when you're number one, you can get away with a LOT of $#!T it seems... Omega.Mosley
