[talk.bizarre] Looking for the complete MES!

dare@swatsun.UUCP (03/01/88)

Hmmm. Swarthmore's USENET connection was set up at too late a date for
us to see the beginning of the Great MES Controversy and its numerous off-
spring. However, the subject has generated intense interest here, and the
local MES aficionados are looking for the COMPLETE MES archives, _ab_initio_.
If anybody out there in netland has been filing those flames away to warm
the cockles of their hearts during the long winter months, we'd appreciate
it if they would send 'em over here.

For that matter, could someone please do a bewildered public the service
of posting a brief explanation of the genesis of the whole thing? We're
_trying_, really we are, to understand, but without a certain sense of
historical perspective, we're lost. Just plain lost. And so, we imagine,
are uncounted other MES buffs. Save us. Be a buddyroo.

[This has been forged oops I mean ghosted by moreton@thebes.
But you can email the stuff to dare, it's okay. Or moreton too.
Or whoever the fuck you want to, hell do I look like your nursemaid?]

Thank you, Geoff. Early mornings in computer rooms can be hell, can't
they? I suspect that's what happened to John Foster Dulles, too. Any-
how, please write. The Free World awaits your decision.
