[net.sf-lovers] "Sir Isaac Newton", L.N. Smith, and getting addresses

Some odds'n'ends from an old-time SF-L-er...

Info incomplete, but for starters, the draconic Sir Isaac Newton
was an alien (Martian?) in one of Heinlein's early juveniles. In
contact with the Terrans, the aliens took names of our historical
characters whom they admired.

In re Catherine Cunningham's call for other books about purely
alien cultures ("no human presence"), suggest L. Neil Smith's
THEIR MAJESTIES' BUCKETEERS.

As for Rich Zellich's sought bookstore addresses-- like much of the
information requested on SF-LOVERS which is fairly readily available
from standard reference sources (unless you live 'WAY out in the
boonies, in which case, how did you manage to get on this net?)--
such could be gleaned from the "Electronic Yellow Pages" databases,
accessible at least thru the DIALOG system. You'd be surprised at
how much information a metropolitan or university library reference
division have at their terminal-tips nowdays. Try em! Anyhow, any
which Rich's respondants don't come up with, pass on to me directly.

I'm curious about our excellent contributor whose "business" is
bibliography. Really? It's how he earns his bread'n'butter? If
so, "Greetings, colleague!"
