The logic of some lyricists never ceases to amaze me.
My nominations for worst lyrics are:
Michael Jackson- "If you wanna be starting something, you gotta be starting
something."
Joe Jackson- "You can't get what you want until you know what you want."
I prefer to stick with Neil Peart-
"Different eyes see different things
Different hearts
Beat on different strings
But thre are times
For you and me
When all such things agree."

Awww, come on. So they're truisms; big deal! At least in the case of MJ, and to a lesser extent the one by JJ, at least they sound good.
