[net.music] The Worst Lyrics You Have Ever Heard

dave@gitpyr.UUCP (David Corbin) (10/05/84)

The logic of some lyricists never ceases to amaze me.
My nominations for worst lyrics are:
Michael Jackson- "If you wanna be starting something, you gotta be starting
   something."
Joe Jackson- "You can't get what you want until you know what you want."

I prefer to stick with Neil Peart-
  "Different eyes see different things
   Different hearts
   Beat on different strings
   But thre are times
   For you and me
   When all such things agree."
    (from "Different Strings")

Awww, come on. So they're truisms; big deal! At least in the case of MJ,
and to a lesser extent the one by JJ, at least they sound good. (i.e. the
sound of the words (I think) is aesthetically pleasing, even if they don't
mean diddly squat.)

Yes, and "You're a vegetable, They hate you, You a buffet, they eat off of you"

I'll never understand this.
