It would be simpler for God to create a baby and supply miraculous
diapers?  You would prefer the earth to be a featureless plain
for the first few billion years of our existence?  You don't like
the starry expanse of the night sky?

What about assuming that evolution actually occurs?  (See my article
on the subject.)  For that matter, where did the universe itself
come from?
