Who is this guy?
Look, this is not my field. I freely admit it. I haven't done my
homework, I haven't conducted experiments. I don't even read any of
these groups except alt.flame. I haven't thought about all the
mathematics and physics involved, because, quite frankly, I don't care
that much.
But the inevitable corollary of the flat-earth position is that there's
a massive conspiracy going on. NASA, ESA, the governments of the USA,
USSR, and China, not to mention most of the world's institutes of
higher learning, ARE NOT TELLING US THE TRUTH!!! THE SKYLAB IS
FALLING, THE SKYLAB IS FALLING!!!
At the very least, there are several dozen astro/cosmonauts that have
been brainwashed so well that for 20+ years not one has confessed to
the National Enquirer.
Do you have any idea of the amount of effort it would take to
perpetrate this? Do you know how many technicians, cameramen, and
scientists would have to be hoodwinked?
If you would have me believe the Earth is flat, then I must conclude
that the world's intellectual and political leaders are either
(A) Hopelessly gullible
or (B) Willing and capable of acting in perfect collusion, because
they all want the same thing, namely to pull a fast one on 5
billion people.
Okay, people are stupid, but NOT THAT STUPID.
Compared to that, believing that Truth exceeds my reason and common
sense is child's play.
