[talk.origins] Bob Bales postings

rlb@cohesive.UUCP (Bob Braun) (05/25/90)

Why does this blithering ignorant fool keep coming
back with the same rhetoric? The general quality
of postings here is very good, and the content
is varied and interesting. Please go away Bales!
You have nothing to say, but you keep on saying
it.

Bob Bales is a Christian Fundementalist who is an EE at
Tektronix in Beaverton Ore. He has been posting criticism of evolution
over in talk.origins for many years. Replies to him and from him can
make up most of the traffic in that group for months at a time. He
would be a plague on any normal newsgroup. He is nothing if not
stubboren and insists that his religious views have nothing to do with
his "science". The problem is that he has never displayed the least
competance in biological or geologic sciences and argues from a
clearly ad hoc basis for Creationism. He is evasive and tenaceous, and
hopelessly biased.

The best thing you folks can do is to totally ignore him.
Don't debate him here, he will waste bandwidth. If you want to debate
him, come over to talk.origins which at last has a charter that can
accommodate the like of him. There is also lots of him on the archives
for that group, too. He has posted but a few times to
talk.religion.misc, and I did not know until now that he has posted
elsewhere.

You are right about his debate style being rhetoric, mostly.
His ideas and support for them have very little substance.
