This is just a reminder that these "net" versions of the "talk"
groups will be deleted around the beginning of October. They
have been replaced by the groups listed below. These new groups
are alive and well. Readers and posters of the old names should
convert over.
Old names:

net.origins
net.religion
net.politics
net.politics.theory
net.rumor
net.philosophy
net.religion.christian
talk.religion
New names:
talk.bizarre
talk.abortion
talk.origins
talk.religion.misc
talk.politics.misc
talk.politics.theory

mod.religion.christian
A similar renaming has already begun for the soc groups. The
newgroups have gone out, and discussion is proceeding. Aliases
will be added in October to move existing discussion.
(Note: mod.religion.christian may not be fully operational yet;
so net.religion.christian will be kept around for a while to make
sure that mod.religion.christian gets going OK. Submissions to
mod.religion.christian should be sent to topaz!christian; the
moderator is Charles Hedrick, topaz!hedrick. These addresses
are {christian,hedrick}@topaz.Rutgers.EDU if you're domain-capable.)
An aside: I can't post this message to the old groups, as I had
originally planned, because it would get aliased to the new names.
So you might want to pass the word to anyone you know who doesn't
read mod.announce that (a) the deletion of the old names has
occurred, and (b) they should read mod.announce to find out what's
going on.
