AISB-87 will be the sixth conference held by the Society for the Study of
Artificial Intelligence and the Simulation of Behaviour. The conference
will feature a two-day tutorial programme, followed by three days of
presentations of papers.

Programme Committee: Chris Mellish (University of Sussex)
                           Tony Cohn (University of Warwick)

                           Bob Fisher (University of Edinburgh)
                           Alison Kidd (Hewlett-Packard Labs)
                           Rudi Lutz (University of Sussex)

Tutorial Organiser: Masoud Yazdani (University of Exeter)

Local Arrangements: John Hallam (University of Edinburgh)

Invited Speakers: Pat Hayes (Schlumberger Research)
                           Dave Rumelhart (University of California)
                           Derek Sleeman (University of Aberdeen)

Authors are invited to submit papers on any subject relevant to Artificial
Intelligence and the Simulation of Behaviour, including, but not
restricted to:

   Vision The Man-Machine Interface
   Robotics Natural Language Processing
Cognitive Modelling Problem Solving and Inference
Learning and Memory Social and Philosophical Implications of AI

Papers should describe original, previously unpublished, work in some area
of AI or Cognitive Science. Papers of a theoretical nature should be
strongly related to previous or potential computational work. A PRIZE WILL
BE AWARDED FOR THE BEST TECHNICAL PAPER.

Papers should be typed single-spaced with a maximum of 8000 words. It is
hoped that the conference Proceedings will be published as a book, and
submission of a paper is assumed to indicate willingness to assign
