The Sixth Annual Symposium on Small Computers in the Arts

			       October 10-12, 1986

				Philadelphia, Pa.

The Sixth Annual Symposium on Small Computers in the Arts will be
held on October 10-12, 1986 in Philadelphia. The Symposium
presents a unique opportunity for individuals to share their work
with others in the rapidly expanding field of computer art and
music. Attendance is limited to 300 persons, providing an atmo-
sphere which encourages interaction among those of similar in-
terest and making hands-on sessions possible. Presentations are
given at both beginning and advanced levels. Topic oriented ses-
sions focus on the major issues in the use of small computers in
the arts. Saturday morning will be devoted to workshop sessions
to give the participant some intensive training in a specific
area. Come and join us for an educational and entertaining meet-
	ing.

In addition to workshops and presentations, the Symposium also
includes exhibits of hardware and software, an art exhibit, a
computer music concert, and a "videobar" reception.

The Symposium is held at the Hilton Hotel of Philadelphia on the
University of Pennsylvania campus. The location is also near
Drexel University, the Moore School (home of the first electronic
computer), the Philadelphia Art Museum, and downtown Philadel-
phia. It is 5 minutes from Amtrak's 30th Street Station and 15
minutes from the Philadelphia International Airport.

The Symposium is organized by SCAN, Inc., a non-profit education-
al organization. It is co-sponsored by the IEEE Computer Society
and held in cooperation with ACM SIGGRAPH and Delaware Valley
	Chapter ACM/SIGGRAPH.
