This article is from "Helmut Roderus" <unido!fauern!roderus@seismo.CSS.GOV> and was received on Mon Dec 1 10:18:28 1986 CALL FOR PAPERS for the International Workshop on GRAPHTHEORETIC CONCEPTS IN COMPUTER SCIENCE (WG '87) ---------------------------------------------------- This conference is regularly held since 1975 being organized by the universities of Aachen, Berlin, Erlangen, Linz, Munich, Osnabrueck and Wuerzburg. The next workshop will take place JUNE 29th - JULY 1st, 1987, at BILDUNGSZENTRUM KLOSTER BANZ and is organized this year by the Lehrstuhl fuer Programmiersprachen of the University of Erlangen-Nuernberg. The conference-site has some relation to our profession, because it is located near Staffelstein (Northern Bavaria), the town where Adam Riese lived. The aim of this workshop is similar to previous ones: combining theory and application of graphs in computer sience. So, we would like to have contributions on - analysis of graph algorithms - graph grammars - computational geometry - graphs and their manipulation as models for various applications (data structures, data base systems, software development, etc.) - etc. This list is not considered to be exhaustive. We would appreciate your proposing a paper for WG '87. Hopefully, we get a big pool out of which we can group pertaining contributions to interesting sessions. The papers will be published after a refereeing process. We have the following schedule in mind: A short version (half a page) till February 28th, an extended version (two pages) till May 31st, 1987. The language for presentation is English. The former WG-meetings impressed by their familiar atmosphere and by their intensive scientific discussions. This spirit can come up only if the number of participants is not too large. So, we will have to set up a limit. The conference fee will be less than 290 DM. We hope we will be able to raise some funds to support needy participants. Foreign visitors: If you intend to visit ICALP in Karlsruhe anyway what about combining the two conferences?! Please fill in the enclosed form and send it back to us as soon as possible, if you can, not later than DECEMBER 31st, 1986. This will make our planning job easier. Thank you in advance for your effort. If you have any questions be free to write a letter or just phone us up. Dr. H.
