[mod.music.gaffa] There are *Three* versions of Thomas Dolby's first LP

gtaylor@astroatc.UUCP (Another Cointreau Lover) (08/16/86)

Organization:

You need to find a copy of the original British release, which resembles
the american 1st edition with the exception that it includes "The Wreck
of the Hesperus" (it think that's the title...all my LPs are packed from
the last move still).

You might also be interested in Dave (National Health, Bruford) Stewart's
cover of "Leipzig" on his latest CD on Rykodisc. It's also got a companion
piece to L, called "Henry and James"...about the same two people.

If you're really hot to trot, the compilation "From Brussels with Love"
from Discs du Crepuscule (on LP and Cassette) has a *very* early version
of Airwaves-sone by TD on just a piano and a touch of some other stuff.
It's got a rough-hewn and intimate quality that beats the studio version
all to pieces.
