[mod.music.gaffa] A Company of KTs

nessus@mit-eddie.UUCP (08/16/86)

Organization:

Kate Bush's band back when she played in pubs and stuff, before she
had a record out, was called the "KT Bush Band". Kate has no middle
name; KT means "Katie". Hidden somewhere on every KB album is a KT
logo. The logo originally came from a midieval organization called
the Knights Templar. This logo can be found in Churches throughout
all of England (look Ma! religious symbolism!).

Yes, that was *the* Danielle Dax who played the wolfgirl in *The
Company of Wolves*. You even get to see her naked, so run out and see
the flick! (I bet Jon Rossi is wondering why Kate didn't play the
part....)

Organization:

The Knights Templar exist today. It is one of the many organizations
within Masonry. There are two paths that a Freemason can take on his
way to becoming a Shriner and one is through the Scottish Rite (becoming
a member of a Commandry of Knights Templar), while the other is through
the York Rite, of which I know little. I know this stuff because my
father belonged. All sort of hokey but the Knights Templar have spiffy
outfits with swords and such.
