That rumor about the Sonic Youth doing a full cover of the White Album came from a gossip column in a NY zine - apparently what they said is they would LIKE to do a full cover of "the White Album" IF they could get financial backers. I'm sure whoever owns the rights to all those songs would milk them dry for it as well as royalties - so it would have to be someone willing to pay for mucho studio time and lawyer fees, etc. In short, I doubt it will happen. I mean, would'nt all use aspiring recording stars love to cover the whole White Album? I know I would... "starpower, starpower" Hofmann, James... p.s. stomp, stomp, stomp, I stomp on your cocoon.
