In the latest Non-Stop Banter, an article about Sonic Youth indicated that yes, indeed, they want to do an entire cover version of the White Album. The artist who did the insert on the original White Album is interested in designing a similar insert for the S Youth. He claims to like them. Also, they talked of the possibility of the Jesus and Mary Chain doing one of the songs and the Butthole Surfers doing "Yer Blues." I'll believe it when I see it - another rumor claims that Madonna's record company is sueing the Cicconne Youth over their Madonna cover of Burning Up and Get into the Groove. I had heard Madonna had given the project her approval by word - Sire apparently thinks she can't do that. The saga continues.
