I was told by Doug Alan that there is a boxed set of all of Kate's singles available at most records stores. I went to my local store (the best in the town where I live) and the manager told me that "that" was something that only people on the east coast could get...hogwash! Someone please tell me how that I can get this boxed set. OR does someone know of a mail- order record store that one can get basically anything still in print? I would really be interested in a place if it exists. He also told me (I think to passify me...hmmm?) that Kate was coming out with a Best of record sometime in October...is there any truth to that? And if so...what are Kate's best? I enjoy all...but what are really classified as her "hits." By the way, whoever it is that first mentioned the Cocteau Twins...I would just like to thank them from the bottom of my ears. I really enjoy what I have heard so far and look forward to buying more of their records in the future. Could someone suggest some other group...english or other that records stuff that is different and very enlightening as compared to the pop stuff on the radio...I would be enthusiastic for suggestions? Stranded out here on the west coast in little ole Nevada (gambling just doesn't cut it...but Kate makes it sound better) ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Andrew Elliott Dept of Biochemistry University of Nevada - Reno UUCP: seismo!unrvax!elliott unrvax!elliott@seismo.CSS.GOV "One half of the world doesn't understand the pleasures of the other." ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Here's a chance to put in a plug for "Danielle Dax", another artistic-minded female whose album covers beat anything I have hanging on my walls at the moment. I just discovered her stuff and haven't listened to it enough to make intelligent remarks describing it, but I remember some good guitar work, interesting arrangements, variety of sounds, etc. I like the Cocteau Twins, but one strength DD has over them is more diversity. --John
