Just heard a cut off the new Shriekback album "Big Night Music". Sorta
sounds like "Oil and Gold", but different. A little happier, mebbe? Yeah,
that's the ticket... As if ya didn't know, the Shriek is out on tour with
Love and Rockets (who opens for whom?), and they'll be at the Metro on
November 6th; November 7th, Shriekback "and special guest" will be at the
Bluewall Cafe at UMass/Amherst for an all-ages show.
Speaking of UMass/Amherst ... I mentioned this a while back, but it was a
p.s. and since no-one listens to my drivel anyway, I thought I'd pound it
into you again... There is a service being run out of the UMass/Amherst
CYBER computer system which provides the user with lyrics for songs. Currently
the catalog is a little sparse, which is why they need contributions!! I've
done my share ("The Dreaming", "Blood & Chocolate", "Some Great Reward",
"Construction Time Again", "The Big Express", "English Settlement"), why not
do yours? Just send a subjectless letter with the word "help" as the only
text to: LYRICS%UMASS.BITNET@WISCVM.WISC.EDU ... you won't be disappointed.
