As I mentioned a couple of days ago, there is a bug in netnews
versions previous to 2.11 (the latest version) which affects readers
of the Love-Hounds mailing list who read it as mod.music.gaffa.
Articles posted do not appear in mod.music.gaffa on the host of the
author of the message, though they do appear elsewhere. To fix this
problem, I will do what is done with people on the mailing list who
receive individual messages. All articles in mod.music.gaffa will
look like they come from "Love-Hounds-request@mit-eddie". The first
line of the contents of each article will tell who really posted the
article.
I know that this is a kludge, but until someone thinks up a better
solution, it seems to me like the best alternative. Keep in mind that
now if you want to reply to the author of an article that you will
have to extract his address by hand. If you just use the reply
feature of netnews, your letter will be sent to me, and I will
probably think that you intended it to be posted.
