Okay. *let's* do a cassette of covers of Kate Bush material (you listening,
hof?). You can either *do* a version of a Kate Bush song (which should be
a challenge enough, given the ah...breadth of her output and the fact that
a number of us are *males* with limited voices. Or you can take her
recorded material and alter it (look out for litigation! Keep this private)
Slice, Dice and mangle is legal, a la "ciccone youth". The title will be
the most interesting "kate bush" anagram we can find (or anagrams for "a kate
bush song" "by kate bush" "doing kate's tunes"). Only the hounded can do it,
and reverence for the unsullied purity of the kate's stuff doesn't win you
any prizes. This is "lure of salvage" time.

You listening, Dada ducks? Rossi? Wicinski? Hof? I is dead-ass *serious*

I AM into this totally !!

I'll put my plans for an industrial dance tape loop aside, as well as
any industrial folk stuff i was planning with labovitz. I'll pull his
head out of the gutter and drag him back into his studio (oh boy 8-track
abuse).

The first thing I would do is a industrial remake of "sat in your lap"
with kate's vocals, and auto parts as basic percussion.

then maybe a thrash version of RuTH. hot damn, this IS a great idea
taylor. when hofless wakes yup, I'll see what he says, but he might
back out cause it ain't cool enough for him.

You guys are stealing my idea! For a long time, I've thought that as
soon as I learn to play an instrument well, I'd start a Kate Bush
cover group -- except doing radically different versions, like a
thrash version of "Wuthering Heights", an industrial "Sat In Your
Lap", 60's psychedelic "Leave It Open", deathrock dirge "Night of the
Swallow", reggae "Running Up That Hill", etc. The group was to be
called Dogs of Lust. I'm still trying to figure out what one could
possibly do to "Waking the Witch" or "Get Out Of My House"....

Some say that knowledge is boing, boom, tschuk...
