[mod.music.gaffa] untolerable news

I just heard some news that, uh, well it just can't be tolerated.
Psychic TV will be releasing

o 23 albums of their live shows
o on the 23rd of each month
o for the next 23 months.

Actually I heard the first installment, and it wasn't bad, but wasn't
exciting either. But really, this is too much PTV; the earth can't
handle it. Genesis P.Orridge needs to be taken out. Assassinated.
Now. Any volunteers?

Why shoot Genesis P. Orridge? His insanity is harmless, isn't it?
I mean, if he couldn't be out making noise and up on stage piercing
his penis and uttering Satanic things, he might be out on the street,
piercing other people's penises, but since that isn't the case, what's
the problem?

I mean I didn't even want to kill him when I bought Psychic TV's
limited pressing CD-only live album for $16.95 to find that it's
full of hum and static and poor frequency response, which is
probably exactly why G.P. Orridge had it released that way....

Well, I admit, it did cross my mind...

He should be taken out on principle. Like PTV releasing 23 LP's of live
performances is almost as obnoxious as Tangerine Dream releasing over 20
albums of their synth mersh. Both bands don't have near enough artistic
strength or diversity to warrant that many releases. Granted, PTV's releases
will be much more limited and less money than TD's.

I don't know, I thought the sound was reasonable. Hey, if there weren't any
hum or static, it wouldn't be PTV.
