Subject: Kate Trivia
Newsgroups: mod.music.gaffa
Distribution: usa

Here are a few trivia questions for all you Kate-addicts here in
mod.music.gaffa (where did this netgroup come from anyway? I just heard
about it and have enjoyed reading through it. I think some folks
ought to mellow down a bit their rethoric, after all we're all reading
this group 'cause we like Kate).

   Here are the questions:

	(1) Where did Kate first appear in the US?

	(2) Which songs did she perform in that appearance?

	(3) Who was it that brought her along for that appearance?

I will post answers to these questions in a few weeks, unless the
newsgroup is flooded with the correct responses.

Key operative word: "comparable". I'm not sure I can say which is better
(what is "better" anyway??).

	Peter Gabriel's 3rd and 4th albums.
	Pink Floyd's "The Wall"

Subject: Answers to Kate Trivia & Note

Kate Bush first appeared in US TV in an episode of Saturday Night Live in
which she sang "The Man With The Child In His Eyes" and "Them Heavy People"
(which I thought was named "Rolling the Ball" for a long time). The show
was hosted by Monty Python's Eric Idle, who brought Kate as a special guest.

I was lucky enough to have been experimenting with my (at that time) new
guetto-blaster's built-in microphone (stereo no less) recording system and
just happen to tape most of the audio coming out of my little B&W TV. As I
recall, the tape included some nifty special effect such as my own NJ love-
hound (C'mell) barking through much of the show and my dad opening the door
and asking "Are you asleep yet?" (in Spanish that is). I listened to that
cheap tape many times and decided I really liked this singer/composer.
I still do.

In other matters, I'm relocating to the North-East Massachusetts area so
I'll be off of the net for a hopefully brief, but as of yet undetermined
length of time. Please keep any relevant discussions in mod.music.gaffa.
I'll try to get back to the group ASAP, I enjoy it a lot. This is RAEL
signing off for now.
