Hi there!
On the news of the new PG/KB single:
Well, this is it. The local mainstream
music station WMMR has adopted PG since
the release of SO, and has overplayed
his new music from date of release. In
fact, they helped break "Sledgehammer"
into the US market. This could be their
opportunity to get behind KT, or more
adventurous music in general...

BUT I DOUBT IT! Why? because the
Conspiracy is live and well and living in Philadelphia
Pa. The Con? Yes. Not only do most of the radio stations
in town only play songs that have sold 1M+, have been
played for many years by other stations, or even more
sinister....
THEY grow their own. YES, a vast ARMY of new bands are
being broke on a national level from Philly by ONE
management group, which also controls most of the
nightclubs in the area. The common denominator?
These bands play commercial catchy clean cut rock n roll
and are not big enough yet to be nauseating (but are close)
examples? Hooters, Tommy Conwell, John Eddie and Patty
Smythe. (not that any of the above are BAD in small doses
but..)

Can any of the LH-ers in the DC area tell me what has
become of some of my fave raves back in 81-83?
in specific: Tru Fax, Velvet Monkeys, Insect Surfers
& the Dynettes...
