>What to buy now if you only have $69 a day to spend on records.

I would like to hear recommendations for what to buy if you only
have $20 a week to buy records.

(I, for one, bought XTC's "Drums and Wires" and was disappointed,
so I traded it (it was a defective cassette anyway) for Elvis
Costello's "Get Happy," which, strangely enough, reminded me of
XTC, and which I like (never heard Costello before). Also got
Stevie Wonder's "The Secret Life of Plants," 60% of it is boring
but the good parts are GOOD. And the new 12" single by the Roches,
"No Trespassing," was pretty awful; I hoped they had recovered
from the "Another World" syndrome. And finally, from Waldentapes,
Harlan Ellison reading his "A Boy and His Dog." Ellison is the
perfect reader.

	3	XTC Drums and Wires
       -3	return it
	3	Elvis Costello
4	Stevie Wonder	(what a deal! 2 records for 4 bucks, NEW)
	3	Roches
	10	Harlan Ellison
	--
	20 bucks)
