[mod.music.gaffa] the great CD ripoff

I was just listening to a local radio talk show on my way home last
night when I heard somebody (supposedly an authority of some sort on the
recording industry) saying that it only costs $2 more to produce a CD than an
album. Meanwhile, they're selling them at twice the price! ASSHOLE BUSINESSMEN!
I knew there was a good reason I haven't bought a CD player yet. I know I'm
missing the boat, right? Oh well.

Now, what I need is a 4-track cassette deck, and not just to hear Katie backwards,
though I'll definitely have to check that out too. Seriously though, are any
of you in the market to sell your dust-collecting 4-tracks? I've been looking
around the D.C. area and it seems like a good idea to check around for a used
one before I go sinking my paycheck into a new one. Please reply directly to me

Oh yeah, you also have to be within 100 mi. from D.C. (unless you want to drive
down/up/over here).

Also, many thanks to IED for all those KT interviews, and (oh shit, I can't
remember who posted it--Greg?) for that Budd interview too, though it was pretty
damn long. How long did you talk to him?

Provoking random thought: Kate Bush is really a highly evolved life form from
another planet.
